PRESENT
DAY
It is the intent of the final four members to re-create LIFT'S last music as well as new compositions for the enjoyment of those who wish to give us a listen, and enjoy what we believe was and remains truly great music. Mike Mitchell, Tony Vaughn, and Chip Gremillion began working together in late 2000. The first result of this collaboration is the re-mastering and release of the "...The Moment of Hearing" a CD featuring all eight of LIFT'S professionally recorded material from the 1970's. Phase two will be the reworking of additional music from that period as well as the release of newly composed material from current collaborative efforts. Chip Grevemberg is also pursuing efforts to provide percussion components to the new material. Solo efforts by individual members may also be released if deemed appropriate by the group. THERE IS MORE GREAT LIFT MUSIC TO COME
Chip
Gremillion: Is Married to his wife Anne of 22 years
they have two
wonderful daughters, Catherine and Grayson Anne. Chip owns and operates
a television production company specializing in cable programs, infomercials
and interactive media in Palm Springs, California. He maintains a love
for progressive and electronic music and has created solo electronic works
over the past few years.
Chip Grevemberg: After LIFT disbanded Chip received a degree in Geology works in the New Orleans area as a Hydrologist surveying the environmental impact on ground water of various drilling and construction projects. He is regaining his interest in drumming and hopefully will add his unique drumming style to LIFT'S new music. Mike
Mitchell: Mike is married to his wife Karon of 30 years. Mike currently
owns and operates Cedar Loft Studio in Marietta Georgia. He has produced
scores for film and video games as well as provided production services

Tony Vaughn is married to his wife Penny they have a son, Anthony and daughter, Lexie. Tony is a woodcraftsman and custom cabinetmaker, but remains very active in the Atlanta music scene as one of the most sought after bassist/vocalists in the area. The melodic "low end" of later LIFT material is a perfect example of Tony's unique "flow through it" style of bass playing driving both the rhythm and the melodic foundation. Cody Kelleher: Cody is married, has four children. He owns and operates Sound Stage Music in Houma Louisiana. Cody's punchy rhythmic style provided much of the energy so cherished by fans of LIFT'S early music. Cody has been performing regularly with a band in his home area for a number of years. Courtenay Hilton-Green: Courtenay is married to his wife Mandy they have one son. Courtenay is a farmer and from his work with groups in California has made many close friends among progressive artists and enjoys keeping up with artists and music from the progressive heyday.
