The progressive review website, Gnosis, rates progressive groups by an elaborate scoring system. They score LIFT a 10.54 which falls in their highest category. The scales range from a low of 4.70 to a high of 13.19. Not bad for the first release from a group of 19-year-old southern musicians.

To see the LIFT rating on the Gnosis site, click this link gnosis2000.net/gnosisaverage.htm.
Select the pull down menu in the highest category on the top left of your screen.
Drag down to the range 10.56 - 10.53.
Click GO.
Scroll down the page to LIFT "Caverns of Your Brain."
